lyrics

this year's been an uphill battle. if this is all wrong, just kill me now, cause I'd rather die than be stuck in this town. like a dvd menu and we're all too fucked up or tired to get up and turn it off, this endless repetition makes me wish that it was fall again when I had so much hope that things were finally workin' out. the cold walk home from work didn't numb away the sadness, it didn't really make it worse. I got home and poured a drink, or seven but the alcohol just evened out the peaks and valleys we know so well. yeah I was on a mountain now I'm back down here in hell. and I wish that you were with me but I'm glad that you're not here to see me now. what a sorry sight. well I'm sorry that I haven't written yet, my best intentions rarely leave the drawing board these days, but I still hope that we can stand up on the edge of the columbia so far away from all this burning restlessness.
